Let’s learn about some ways to get the most out of your wax by things you can do at home! Here are general rules to apply to any of our waxing services.

PRE-WAXING TIPS -
A guideline to prepare yourself and help achieve the smoothest results possible.
Grow grow grow! In order to get the best results possible, it is imperative to have the appropriate waxing hair length: about a 1/4 of an inch of hair (that’s 3.5 - 4 weeks minimum of untouched growth).
Exfoliate! Eliminate that layer of dead skin cells to help prepare your hair for waxing by exfoliating the day before your service.
Skip the oils and lotions. If you are able to, come in with clean skin - free of lotions, makeup and deodorants. They can interfere by creating a layer between the hair and the wax.
POST-WAXING TIPS
For the next 24 - 48 hours after your appointment, treat your skin with extra care
Don’t touch! One of the first reactions after waxing is to feel your smooth skin, but resit the urge! The oils on you unwashed hands and fingers can be damaging to your freshly waxed skin.
Sweat and heat are a big No-No. This means skip the workout, steamy shower or sauna until your pores have calmed down. Post-wax sun exposure or tanning may cause a sunburn or discomfort on your skin.
Wait to exfoliate! Give your skin a break on the scrubbing, to avoid skin irritation. (However, be sure to maintain exfoliating during the weeks in between your wax appointments.)
